I had such a great experience at this BBQ spot! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavor. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, and you can really tell they use fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and lively, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. I recently visited Chubby Skewers in Rowland Heights with my family to celebrate my birthday. It’s a popular spot for a reason, but there are a few things to keep in mind before you go! Parking & Wait Times The shopping center is known for having many busy restaurants, so parking can get full very fast. I’ve tried to come here on weekends during dinner before, and the wait times are usually quite long. They don’t take reservations (first-come, first-served), so I highly recommend arriving early in the afternoon to snag a table and a parking spot before the crowd hits. Atmosphere & Seating The decor is great—it has a cool Asian street food/snack theme that makes for a fun environment. However, the space is a bit small. They fit six folding chairs at each table, but it felt pretty cramped. Being 6’1”, I actually had to fold up the chair next to me just to have enough room so my son could sit comfortably in front of the barbecue. The Food & Service The setup is mostly self-serve. They have a huge variety of skewers in the back—lamb, pork, beef, chicken, fish, and veggies—for $1.25 each. The meat is very tasty and the vegetables provide a nice, refreshing balance.
